Facts About Fading
(Don't let Fading Fool You)

Pie Chart

There are four main reasons for fading to occur. Ultra violet (UV) light, from the sun, contributes to approximately 40% of the fading process. Visible light and solar heat can contribute to approximately 25% each. The remaining 10% can be attributed to miscellaneous effects such as indoor artificial lighting, humidity, heat, and poor dye anchorage.

Ultraviolet rays from the sun are a major source of damage, which can ruin furnishings long before their time. Window films repel most these damaging rays, and as a result, damage to carpeting, paneling, desks, and upholstered furniture is considerably reduced.

Every one of our window films reduces UV and visible light as well as heat. By selecting the right window film for you, varying amounts of fade reduction can be achieved.
